| Hey All. Are the MII double hump cross members all the same? In other words can I use a double hump cross member from a 76 v8 car on my 78 v6 car with a C3 trans? Thanks! |

| The dubble hump cross member was stock on all II's up to 1977. Any 77 or 78 car with a dubble hump cross member has been installed by a prevous owner. The cross members all fit the same and will work on any year car . |

I was thinking that the V8 cars had a hole in the center in between the bolt holes that bolts it to the mount? |

That center hole for the bolt is important
I was not aware of this when I was installing one... Good thing plasma cutters exist |

This is what i came up with.............. -
- Slotted end left right 2 9/16 2 1/2 2 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 2 7/8 This is the back side slotted end................ 2 5/16 2 3/8 2 3/8 2 3/8 2 3/8 2 3/8
-
This is measured off the three crossmembers i have. One is out of my V-8 COBRA the other two are double humps out of 4/6 cars. Could be just production line variances. As you can tell the hump is not necessarily the same height front to back . The highest numbers did come from the v-8 piece. I say the differences are just production tolerances... Now lets see if it posts the way i typed it. lol Jon
