My Mustang II is a 77 Mach 1, currently a 302 2bbl 4 speed t-top model. The
car had a complete rebuild over the last 3 years. I painted the car myself
in a friend's garage. It was painted in pieces over an 8 month period and
when it was finally fully assembled, the paint matched much to my surprise.
We did all of the work on it ourselves except for the welding and
sandblasting. I have a Holley 4bbl, aluminum intake and 5 speed tranny
ready to go on when I get a chance. The car has 16 x 7" 2005 Mustang Wheels
with 205/55 16s on the front and 225/50 x 16s on the rear. The car has just
rolled over the 100,000 km mark and is showing 350kms on the odometer. The

The original wheels were white and then I stripped and wet
sanded/polished to the bright finish. With the use of 2" wheel spacer
adapters, I am able to go back to stock wheels at any time.
The car retains the stock look while there was some subtle changes made. In
the lower black Mach 1 treatment, I had placed a reflective black stripe
that illuminates when light hits it for a nice effect at night and when
using a flash, but being barely recognizable during the day.
I had it at a car show recently and met the original owner of the car, which
just happened to be sold originally from a local dealership that I once
worked at (30 years ago) and my father was co-owner of.
