Sell MUSTANG II for what it is ...
An ALL-NEW Class of Car ... FIRST CLASS

The 1974 Mustang II is unlike any other car built by Ford or its competition, foreign and domestic. It represents a whole new concept, a totally new class of car designed specifically for an all-new small car market. Mustang II should be merchandised in '74 as a car engineered to be a "one of a kind" in the marketplace...the right car, at the right time. Examples supporting the demand for smallluxury cars are clearly seen in the emergence of cars like the Toyota Celica, Opel Manta Luxus, and Datsun 6l0. Four years in the making, Mustang II is the result of intensive research and development on the part of product planners, designers and engineers. Our market analysis revealed that many of the automobile buyers in the seventies will demand cars that are... 1) small... 2) classy... 3) value-right... and 4) economical. The best selling imports today are those that incorporate these characteristics.

Mustang II was designed and engineered to fit those four priorities, to provide a growing American market a new car that would satisfy their demand for a small car, with a rich, jeweled look, interior luxury and exceptional riding quality. Additionally, it is a car priced to give solid value for the money through high product content and economical operation. Mustang II was built to satisfy the demands of today's buyers to put the buyer with "import" on his mind in a domestic built automobile.
The 1974 Mustang II IS SMALL - 19 inches shorter than the '73, seven inches shorter than the original 1965 model. It is loweer, but has a wider front tread, and offers front seating room equal to or exceeding the 1965 model.

Mustang II is CLASSY - Inside and out it rivals the appearance and luxury of such fine European cars as the Mercedes, with a fit and finish that gives it a jewel-like effect. It offers big car ride and comfort through numerous engineering features, which includes a sub-frame concept similar to that used by European luxury cars. This steel sub-frame also provides a second tier of suspension and engine/transmission isolation against sound and vibration. Your 1974 Mustang video tapes detail these and other significant features such as:
  • Mustang II's Full Instrumentation and burled walnut appliqued instrument panel.
  • Cut-pile carpeting on floor and lower door panels.
  • Luxury bucket seats with full-width adjustable headrests.
  • European door pulls and armrests.
  • Rack-and-pinion steering for precise control.
  • Consumer-oriented options.
